When concatenating sine waves, how do I phase shift in order to prevent "pops" caused by sud...

To summarize: how could I phase shift a sine wave such that it begins near to the amplitude of the preceding sine wave? … Or perhaps more fundamentally, are there recommended methods for preventing large jumps in amplitude when concatenating sine waves? Any help is greatly appreciated! …
