Difference between transfer function and frequency response? [duplicate]
AFAIK both represent the ratio of the output response $Y(j\omega)$ to the input excitation $X(j\omega)$:
$$H(j\omega)=\frac{Y(j\omega)}{X(j\omega)}$$
Are there any difference?
