# Wideband FM generation problem

What I found out:

The order of the multiplier would be $$n=5$$.

The two LO frequencies can be 90 MHz and 80 MHz.

The bandwidth is given by $$BW = 2(B_f+1)W$$

Where W is the modulation bandwidth given by 500 Hz.

I am unable to find out $$B_f$$.

• So you start out with a deviation of 0.1, you frequency-multiply by 5, and you get a deviation ratio of 5. How does that work? – TimWescott Jun 11 '20 at 14:26
