I am working on the OFDM transmission system. A channel is given, MR x MT; input data MT x S, and length of a cyclic prefix (CP).

MR - received antenna, MT- transmit antenna, S streams

1) According to the theory, the input data is split alongS. As a result, IFFT is applied for the vectors MT x 1 and CP is added. How can I apply the channel matrix ( $H\cdot data$), for each vector or first the vectors are grouped and then the channel is applied?

  • $\begingroup$ You need to treat the transmitted signal from each antenna separately. The matrix form is just a mathematical convenient way of representing the underlying physical process. $\endgroup$ – BlackMath Oct 19 '19 at 1:06
