I will show the comparison of a first order Sigma Delta DAC and first order Sigma Delta ADC and then use the ADC to further detail how the Sigma Delta structure provides noise shaping which results in increased precision once the higher frequency spectrum is filtered outoperation for sigma delta modulation. I will thenalso show how this is expanded to higher order structures and provide references for further reading.
