Impulse Response What are the values on the x-axis when I plot the impulse response of a Lowpass Filterlowpass filter?

I am trying to develop a filtrationfiltering routine, using Java, and iI am using the Windowingwindowing method. 

From my studies, I was told that if iI make a plot of the impulse response of an ideal Lowpasslowpass filter, I would get a SINC graph. My question actually isIn this situation, Whatwhat am I plotting against? i (i.e., what values are on the X-Axis?)?
